SPIRIT of the LAW

Learn the Source of the Doctrines Behind the Rules, in order to know HOW to Apply Them to Either Side of an Issue

A Message from the CEO:

I still remember how I felt while sitting for the P1 Licensing Exam in 2016, like it was yesterday.

One of the aspects of that experience that will forever remain with me was the moment I realized that the P1 Licensing Exam is not a LAW exam per se.  It's a TEST to see if we're ready to be PARALEGALS!

You may be wondering "What's the Difference?"

Being able to demonstrate a knowledge of the law in isolation is something that anyone who reads can do.  Whereas, to be an effective paralegal, advocacy is the difference.

The Real Test Is Whether You Are Ready To Think Like An ADVOCATE

As an Advocate, whether you are representing a Plaintiff or a Defendant; an Applicant or the Respondent; the Crown or an Accused Person, you MUST be able to just as easily, apply ANY area of law to either side of an issue subject to the facts you have sufficient evidence to prove... or disprove.

Remember, MANY if not MOST of the questions in the P1 Licensing Exam flow from detailed fact-based scenarios that will be presented to you, in some circumstances, like a case.

Your ability to succeed in answering those case scenario questions is proportionate to your ability to This requires you to understand the SPIRIT of the law; the reasons for the DOCTRINES behind the rules, and not just the rules themselves.
